Matrrixx was founded in 2002, with the sole aim of producing exceptional hand made cricket bats and high quality protective equipment. The Matrrixx products are the result of detailed research and a combination of traditional skills and modern day thinking to meet the demands of modern cricketers. The reputation of Matrrixx as master bat makers, and bat makers to numerous international stars and big brands, has quickly spread as have the innovative designs.
Mattrrixx produce some of the very best bats and equipment available today and fully deliver on their stated philosophy of 'uncompromising quality, unrivalled performance and unique designs'. All Matrrixx bats are individually made and tested. Matrrixx is not a factory and take pride in their master craftsmen delivering on their commitment to customers. Around 90% of the world's bats are made on the Asian sub-continent (mainly in India) from english willow then stickered with more recognisable logo's before being sold in shops and by mail order catalogues. Matrrixx and BatPad bring to you the very same bats and protective equipment without the overseas manufacturers mark up - again we pass the savings to you. If you buy a Matrrrixx bat you know if has been made by a Matrrixx master craftsman and simply not rebranded! The Matrrixx bat is revered, by professionals and amateurs alike, as one of the most explosive bats around in the modern day. A Matrrixx Cricket bat will be an experience to own and should prove one that you will not want to part with. Matrrixx use the most innovative techniques in bat manufacturing. For example, all Matrrixx bats have titanium & kevlar inserts in the handles and a unique shape in the blade giving a huge profile. All Matrrixx bats also come with an oval handle (see section on 'selecting your bat' once registered for the advantages of this). The traditional cane handle transfers a reasonable amount of energy into the stroke. However with the introduction of kevlar this produces a super stiff (and light) handle and, correspondingly, a better transfer of energy than the traditional type. Loss of energy when playing the stroke is a major reason why players fail to hit the ball hard. Everyone is looking for that edge to turn the hard run three into an easy boundary or the catch on the fence into a glorious six. |
